What is a Blog Site?

Blog A blog site ( coined from the words web and log ) is a web site that gives you freedom to say through personal comments and expressions, post your own favorite audio, videos and images. Blog are online diaries that can be shared on the internet. You can create a blog by making a page from a website that supports blogging and update it. The person who maintain a blog site is called a blogger. An important aspect of blog is the ability of viewers and readers to leave comments on the blog site in an interactive manner.

General Types of blogs Personal Blog A personal blog is an online documentary or diary of a person. This is the most common blog and express personal life, a persons favorite pet, hobby, etc. 2. Professional Blog A professional blog could be an online documentary discussion or sharing of certain professional or industry expertise. 3. Corporate Blog A corporate blog usually a private blog for businesses purposes. It gives communication and enhances its business community in bringing in updated news from a corporation.

Types of blogs by content Sketch blog (sketchblog) is a type of blog containing a collection of sketches and drawings. Photograph blog (Photoblog) is a type of blog which specializes in photographs and could further be grouped accordingto kinds of photographs, such as that of people, landscaped, close-up photos and others. Travel blog (travelog) is a blog site providing information and discussions of travel sites and places around the world. Video blog (vlog) is a blog which comprise of videos either short clips, TV series or movies. Youtube is the most popular vlog. Legal blog (blawg) is a blog site on legal issues and topics usually by layers and legal practitioners. Links blog (linklog) is a blog that feature links to other blog sites and web sites. Political blog (blogster) is a blog spot for persons in politics and usually containing a discussion group whose topics usually related to prevailing political issues.

Short blogs (microblogging) is a type of personal blogging which aims to capture a moment in time by allowing users or a selected group to send short messages, photos or audio clips for public or private select viewing. Home and Family blog (mom log) is a blog featuring discussion about home and family, these blogs are shared by family clans and family members. Blogs from mobile phone or PDA ( moblog) written and send from mobile phone, PDAs and ipods. Audio blog (podcasting) is a kind of blog whose contents are series of audio media files that are released periodically on a wide range of topics.
