Common Inspection Framework: Responsibility: where relevant, English, mathematics and other skills necessary to function as an economically active member of British society and globally are promoted through teaching and learning Common Inspection Framework:

Hampshire Futures Quality Improvement Plan Post Ofsted Inspection April 2016 For learners, an embedded approach can build and give value to the main course subject, build their confidence and encourage progression to English and maths qualifications Tutors who deliver adult and community learning; apprenticeships; traineeships; and study programmes outside of formal functional skills delivery are required to embed English and maths where relevant opportunities arise. (full policy available on VLE) Ofsted Inspection February 2018 Tutors are confident and integrate English and mathematics into their subject content well (P3) In many instances tutors take the opportunity to incorporate relevant and appropriate mathematics and English skills development activities into lessons. This is very effective in motivating learners to improve their knowledge and skills (P5) Learners gain English and mathematics skills and qualifications to prepare them for work or FE (P6
