History Of Israel Isaiah 10:20-22, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him that smote them, but shall lean upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A remnant shall return, (even) the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God. For though thy people, Israel, be as the sand of the sea, (only) a remnant of them shall return: a destruction (is) determined, overflowing with righteousness.” … meaning a survivor. It is used to describe people who had survived the onslaught of an enemy (Numbers 24:19; Joshua 10:20; Jeremiah 31:2).

History Of Israel Romans 9:27, “And Isaiah crieth concerning Israel, If the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant that shall be saved” Romans 9:29, “And, as Isaiah hath said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, We had become as Sodom, and had been made like unto Gomorrah.”
