Presentation transcript:

What is a T-independent antigen?

What is a T-independent antigen? An antigen that can stimulate a B cell by itself (without the help of a T cell) They are usually polysaccharides or lipopolysaccharides

What cytokine do T helper cells secrete that stimulates B cells, T helper, and T cytotoxic cells?

What cytokine do T helper cells secrete that stimulates B cells, T helper, and T cytotoxic cells? IL-2

What type of T cells secrete perforin?

What type of T cells secrete perforin? Cytotoxic T lympohcytes (CTL)

What are Antigen Presenting Cells?

What are Antigen Presenting Cells? Macrophages Dendritic cells B cells They present antigen to T helper cells

What type of specific immunity is most effective against intracellular pathogens?

What type of specific immunity is most effective against intracellular pathogens? Cell-Mediated Immunity

Give an example of Naturally Acquired Passive Immunity
