Interim Assessment Reporting System Guide There is a complete Smarter Balanced Reporting System User Guide available for further assistance or information on the new enhanced Interim Assessment Reporting System. Nonetheless, if you follow the step by step process outlined in the following slides you should have no problems creating your teachers their groups to view the SB Interim Assessment data.

Best practice for creating spreadsheet for student groups: Download as an excel spreadsheet, the “SBA Labels & Student Roster” from the reports tab in MiSiS. This roster should be downloaded by teacher and period, and it will have a column with the SSID numbers for all of the students in that roster. Also do not reuse the same spreadsheet when creating a group. The information in each column pertains to: Column A = The name of the group that you are creating (for example the name of the teacher) Column B = The CDS code for the school Column C = The school year Column D = The subject of the IABs that this group will be taking. To be on the safe side, put “All” Column E = The SSID for each student that will be part of this group Column F = The email address for each person that will have access to view the scores for this group You only need to type the email address once for each person that will have access to view the scores for this group Columns: B - school_natural_id E - student_ssid Must be formatted as a “Number” Column with NO Decimal places

Uploading the file To upload the file: Click on the link “browse for files” At the dialogue box that opens, locate the file to upload and double click on the file name. If the file was correctly created and saved, you will see the “Accepted” sign.
