College Admission Tests SAT- www.collegeboard.org upcoming tests: 10/6, 11/3, 12/1 ACT- www.act.org upcoming tests: 9/8*, 10/27, 12/8 *deadline passed

TSI Assessment College placement test (Texas) Placement exam for college courses. Prep information online. May be exempt from taking the TSI based on SAT or ACT scores. Students must consult with each college to verify the criteria for being exempt.

Step 1: Complete Online Applications Texas Common Application: www.applytexas.org National Common Application: https://www.commonapp.org Visit other websites as needed *We recommend that you waive your rights to confidentiality on the application.

Step 2: Order Transcript Transcript only: See the registrars in room 1025 or 1026 (front office) $2.00 each if mailed Have the address of the admissions office(s) Please allow two weeks for transcripts to be sent (paper and electronic) Apply Texas colleges sent electronically

Step 2: Forms/Recommendations Transcript and Counselor Forms/Recommendations: (including the Common Application online and Send EDU) Use your counselor’s full e-mail address when making a request (firstname.lastname@humbleisd.net) Make an appointment to see your counselor during lunch Bring the following to your appointment: Necessary form(s) if applicable Senior information sheet Address of admissions office(s) if mailed

Step 3: Send Once completed, your Counselor submits electronically or mails forms

Counselor Deadlines Two weeks are required for counselors to complete our portion. The timeline begins on the day of the appointment and/or when all necessary materials are submitted to the counselor. * Your failure to pay attention to deadlines does not decrease our timeline for completing our portion of the application or recommendation.

Important Dates Sept. 7: 3-week level change forms due Oct. 2: College Night: Humble Civic Center. Oct. 19: LAST DAY to drop a 1st semester class not needed for graduation – no extra release & only 1 aide. Nov. 2: Pass/Fail forms due; HARN visiting Dec. 14: Correspondence Courses/CBEs complete with final grade to KHS.
