General Career Path Associate (new hire to 2 years) Depends on the individual and the firm’s needs Associate (new hire to 2 years) Senior Associate (2 years to 3-4 years) Manager (4-7 years) Senior Manager (8-12 years) Partner (10-12 years to end of career)

Duties of an Associate Assist on audits, reviews, compilations,etc. Learn the technical skills and personal skills to be a senior associate (includes learning entire audit program) Early and frequent interaction with clients

Duties of a Senior Associate Runs audits/engagements Trains new staff Coordinates communication with audit team and client Reviews work performed by associate

Duties of a Manager Provides more on-site supervision Runs audits of difficult/complex clients Reviews work of senior associate and associate (Final Review) Trains staff on various technical issues

Duties of a Senior Manager Part of Management of Firm Mentoring of staff Provides overall supervision of staff- (evaluate & train staff) Performs Final Reviews of Engagements Ensures all engagements are completed timely and efficiently Focus on Client Development
