Program pilot launch in early 2011 involving few select Champion organizations to test program elements –Countywide launch: June 28, 2011 –Now accepting online applications for Energy Champion organizations Energy Champion eligibility criteria: Have an LA County office or address, Are a 501(c)3, 501d, a K-12 public or private school, or a homeowner association –must have the capacity to oversee the program –potential Energy Champions are evaluated on a selection criteria and notified if accepted into the program

Champions receive training and ongoing support – you dont have to be an energy expert Champions have access to an online resource library filled with customizable marketing materials Grassroots approach to compliment top down media $100 to Champion Completed Basic Upgrade $500 to Champion Completed Advanced Upgrade REBATES Updates on the Local Info page of

Multiple Options for City Participation 1.Join the Los Angeles County Energy Upgrade Program 2.Promote Energy Upgrade California through existing channels of communication 3.Distribute information throughout the community using existing networks 4.Utilize local media to promote EUC/LA 5.Develop in-house awareness/expertise with energy efficiency upgrades 6.Donate in-kind staff hours, serve as a point of contact and/or provide additional resources to participating local homeowners
