Project Research Primary – New Research Surveys using questionnaires or interviews with groups of people in a focus group. You could use: Google Forms or Surveymonkey.com Secondary – Existing data that has already been produced. Gather sales and review(Metacritic) scores of similar games to your own. What are some of the positive and negative elements of these similar games? Will you incorporate these positive element and how will you address the negative aspects. Research should be both quantitative and qualitative.

Survey questions should include elements of: Audience Profiling Age Gender Socio-economic Audiences occupation, education, income, wealth, and place of residence Psychographics Audiences personality, values, opinions, attitudes, interests, and lifestyles. Core, mid-core, casual gamer Visual and Gameplay styles Visual style: world; characters; non- playing characters (NPC); feedback interface; perspectives (2D, 3D, first- person, third-person. Gameplay: interaction mode; single player; multiplayer; narrative; game setting; goals; challenges; rewards; player actions; rules; difficulty; game mechanics, balance; feedback; game structure
