Mindful Check-Ins Purpose and Technique

Purpose*: Take time to stop and do “nothing.” Calmly transition to class participation Practice non-judgmental observation Increase focus and attention Decrease “right & wrong” mindset Cope with stress *According to current brain and learning research, there are many, many more possible benefits to this mindful practice.

NOT trying to… Relax/Sleep Turn OFF / avoid Distract self (or others) Do it “right”
