The answer to all of life’s questions

What is Life all about? Question #1 Where did I come from? Why was I born? What am I suppose to be doing or going? What is my purpose?

How can I know what is the truth? Question #2 How can I know what is the truth? Is science right? Is religion right and if so which one? How did the world begin? How will it end and is there hope?

What happens after you die? Question #3 What happens after you die? Is there life after death? Is there a real Heaven or Hell? Do my choices effect the outcome? How will it end and is there hope?

I. the 3 fold privilege in the original design

A. He walked with God (He knew the way)

(Gen 3:8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…

B. He knew the creator in person (He knew the truth)

C. He possessed spiritual life (He was alive)

(Gen 2:17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

II. the 3 fold pressing need in man

A. He needed reconciliation (He was alienated from God and doesn’t know the way)

(Pro 14:12) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Pro 12:15) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

(Pro 4:18) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Pro 4:19) The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

B. He needed illumination (He no longer could perceive truth)

(Eph 4:17-18) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

C. He needed regeneration (He was no longer spiritually alive)

(Eph 2:1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; (Eph 2:2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

(Luk 15:24) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

III. the 3 fold provision in the person of Christ

What is Life all about? Question #1 Where did I come from? Why was I born? What am I suppose to be doing or going? What is my purpose?

A. He is the way

(Rom 3:12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Act 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

B. He is the truth

How can I know what is the truth? Question #2 How can I know what is the truth? Is science right? Is religion right and if so which one? How did the world begin? How will it end and is there hope?

(Joh 17:17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (Joh 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

C. He is the life

What happens after you die? Question #3 What happens after you die? Is there life after death? Is there a real Heaven or Hell? Do my choices effect the outcome? How will it end and is there hope?

(Joh 5:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
