Syllabus Outline Algebra concepts – review Functions and Equations Linear, quadratics, inverse, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic (analytic and graphic approaches); sequences and series* Circular functions and trigonometry All trigonometric functions (analytic and graphic approaches) Vectors 2D, 3D, applications – in higher extent Statistics and probability – selected chapters in the textbook
Textbooks used Marking Periods 1-3 Marking Period 4 Electronic versions of both textbooks are uploaded on my Website
Grading Policy Handbook – MCVSD Grading Policy Primary Assessments (tests, projects) 60% Secondary Assessments (quizzes) 30% Other Assessment (homework, classwork) 10% Late work / missing assignments are accepted as per district policy – 10% grade reduction per calendar day
Daily assignments Homework Assigned every night Will be checked and all questions addressed every day Minor & Major assessments and assignments dates are posted in “Calendar of Assessments” on my Wiki
Extra Help – Office Hours Offered during lunch at least 2 times a week Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Friday in rm 218 Also by an appointment – per student request Mandatory if grade is below a 77 (Pupil Improvement Plan will be implemented)
