The 4 C's are critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. During this time, students will work both individually and collaboratively. I have taught gifted for 25 of those years, mostly at the middle school level. This is my first year at Pleasant Grove, and I am so excited to be here! I have two children. My son is a senior at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, and my daughter is in 11th grade at Union Grove High School I have an awesome husband, Ed. I also have two dogs- Buddy and Daisy- who round out my family. I love to travel! This past summer I visited Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands. I also like to watch sports. I especially like soccer and basketball. Advanced Content Gifted students will receive standards-based ELA and Math instruction in the regular classroom with the addition of Depth of Knowledge and acceleration provided by me. You can drop them by room 108 or label them Gifted and turn in to the homeroom class. Students in K-2 will use iPads and 3-5 will receive Google Chromebooks! Technology will be used in conjunction with a balance of print materials. Logging into school software has gotten a lot easier! Each student has a unique username/email address consisting of his/her student number and the Henry County domain. We are here to learn. We know it won’t always be easy, but it will always be worth it! We will not stop ourselves or others from learning!
