For those of you who may not have set these up before, charges are used to add extra items to the guest bill which are purchased by the guest either at the time of booking or during their stay. For the optional donation to the Family Holidays association these will be set up for guests to purchase at the time of booking. Adding the £1 optional donation charge to your booking page is a simple process and can be done very quickly under the ‘Rates’ tab, click on ‘Charge’ First you will need to set up a new category, so click on ‘manage category’… …and then ‘Add new Category’… …and call the category ‘Charity’… …click back on ‘Charge’ in the menu bar and then selecting ‘Add new’ This will open the template to add a charge, then… …give this optional charge the name opposite… …tick the box… …and select the category as ‘Charity’… …tick the box

This optional contributions will be a fixed amount, per item charge of £1… …set the optional charge to not a tax Make the charge available online and include in the total, but non mandatory… …make it available on all rate plans… …and applicable on check in Describe the optional charge as detailed above and add in the FCA logo available here Save the charge and you are done

The amount of money your guests have chosen to contribute will appear on their booking information in eviivo suite, and then you just need to send this amount of money on to the Family Holiday Association option each month by using their quick to complete online payment found by clicking here and choosing the ‘just one donation’. Thank You for adding this to your website, such donations make a huge positive impact on the lives of underprivileged families every year as you can see by clicking the image below
