Ways of showing Ways of showing The boardComputersCards The flip chart Projectors

The board Boards provide a motivating focal point during whole-class grouping. One of the major technological developments in the last few years has been the interactive whiteboard, the IWB.

The flip chart Flip charts are very useful for making notes, recording the main points in a group discussion, amending and changing points, and for the fact that individual sheets of paper can be thorn off and kept for future reference.

Cards Cards help to individualize the process of teaching. They also intensify teaching.

Computers and projectors The two crucial pieces of hardware are a computer and a data projector. Anything that is on our computer screen can be shown to the whole class using a data projector to put up an enlarged version of it on a screen or a white wall. Presentation software, such as Power Point, increases our capacity to present visual material in a dynamic and interesting way.

Summary Verbal support is a real help for teachers and students. It gives a chance to individualize the process of teaching speaking. It removes students fear of speaking and orientates them in making reports and dialogues. Verbal support increases our capacity to present material in a dynamic and interesting way.
