Presentation transcript:

AP ECONOMICS: February 5(sub) Warm-up A country has a population of 225 million. 15 million are under 16 years old, 135 million have jobs, and 10 million are without jobs and actively seeking employment. What is the total labor force? Labor force participation rate? Unemployment rate? Learning Target #1 In order to understand how to measure and evaluate economic performance, I will analyze the nuances of the unemployment rate. I will know it when I can: (1) list and explain the three types of unemployment; and (2) calculate the natural rate of unemployment (NRU). See unemployment notes for reference (HO from yesterday) --Worksheet 13.1 (HO)--#7 assume he took the job (TURN IN) Learning Target #2 In order to understand some basic economic concepts, I will examine fundamental macroeconomic issues. I will know I have it when I can draw the business cycle and depict unemployment changes, inflation changes, and economic growth. Read pp. 10-14 in textbook and answer questions on HO Assignment GC Assignment #10; (Module 14)
