His Attitude Toward Scripture esus and Scripture J His Attitude Toward Scripture ✔ He recognized them as inspired. ✔ He recognized them as authoritative. ✔ He recognized them as objective & absolute. ✔ He recognized them as propositional.

J esus and Scripture His Use Of Scripture ✔ He quoted them constantly. ✔ He reasoned from them, logically. ✔ He used implication.

esus and Scripture J He approached Scripture with the conviction that it is inspired of God, and that it is absolute, authoritative, and propositional. In handling Scripture, He relied heavily upon extensive quotation, logical reasoning, and the use of implication.

What We Need To Learn From Jesus’ Example 1. Absolute, objective truth exists, and knowledge of it can be obtained (Jn. 8:32). 2. In order to arrive at God’s truth, we must learn to reason correctly (2 Tim. 2:15). 3. The task of learning requires effort (2 Tim. 2:15).

What We Need To Learn From Jesus’ Example 4. There are incorrect interpretations of God’s word (Mat. 7:15; 1 Jn. 4:1). 5. We must stay within the framework of Scripture (Deut. 4:2; 1 Cor. 4:6). 6. We must have a genuine desire to know the will of God (Mat. 5:6).
