is for Acupuncture A Chinese medical practice or procedure to treat illnesses by inserting needles into the body. The theory is that there is energy called Gi that flows throughout the body, when this energy is disputed it causes disease. So the needles are placed in certain places to retain the flow. When having this done to you, you usually do not feel the needles being inserted This was an invention

Buddhism Is for A religion originated in India from Buddha. Buddhism is a religion where the followers worship Buddha ( which was Siddhartha Gautama ) The two branches are Theravada ( “The school of Elders” ) and Mahayara ( “The Great Vehicle” ) This was during the Han Dynasty

Is for Confucianism Confucianism is a philosophical system developed from the philosopher Confucius’ teachings The core of this religion is humanism, which states that humans can be taught.

Is for Daoism Daoism used to be known as Taoism. The term Tao means path or way. The actual definition is the philosophical system evolved by Laozi and Chuang-tzu, advocating aide of complete simplicity and naturalness and non-interference with the course of natural event, in order to attain a happy existence in harmony with the Tao. Is for Loess A yellowish or calcareous deposit formed by wind Loess is a sedimentary rock where dust has accumulated over time The word is of German origin and means loose, it was first applied to Rhine River Valley about 1821 Losses are a type of geography because they are rock formations

Is for Meridians A type of medicine like acupuncture There are about 400 acupuncture points and 20 Meridian points ( most not all) connected 649 of the acupuncture points were recognized by China This type of acupuncture was made on the late Shang Dynasty

Is for Naivety The state of being pure or natural ( in the olden days ) This would be an achievement because it would be good to be pure

Is for Oracle A person who delivers a high or highly regarded and influential announcements Oracles came around in the Shang Dyanasty

Qin Dynasty This dynasty isn't last very long even though it had a very good military This was the Qin dynasty

Responsibility Usually everyone in Ancient China had there own responsibilities The Zhou dynasty had very responsible rulers

Silk Silk is a valuable product made in China The silk was made from silkworms This was usually sold on the Silk Road, I wonder why

Writing In 2007 archeologist reported finding writing on shells in China, these were considered oracle bones The Chinese invented their own writing

Xia dynasty This Dynasty was the first dynasty in traditional Chinese history

Yin and Yang These two symbols are like night and day but can never be separated This symbol came around in the Han dynasty

Zhou Dynasty This was the longest lasting of Chinese Dynasty's
