LTI no 42: Spinner crushes finger 6/Sept/00 This is what happened: The floor-man placed his hand on the joint BEFORE the spinner was released. Spinner was disengaged and dropped a few inches (normal). His finger was crushed and badly cut between the spinner and the drill pipe. He will be off work for several weeks.
