Variables Review Review Please!: The independent variable always effects the dependent variable. Controls are things that are kept the same because they are standard and already known. Example: Mountain dew effects the growth a boys. Our control would be boys drinking water because we know how boys grow on water…we are testing how the independent variable(mountain dew) effects the dependent variable ( growth) . We would then compare mountain dew growth to the control(water growth). Thanks
