How can we effect the force of gravity and how an object falls to Earth? What are the apparent effects of air resistance on various objects? What are the effects of water resistance and friction? Do levels pulleys and gears alter forces? How are they useful for inventions? How are inventions effected by forces and what do inventors need to think about when designing and creating? How can we plan a fair test and evaluate test results? Computing How can we use modern satellite imagery to explore regions of the UK? How can we use the internet to research historical inventors? Coding using SCRATCH software to build games and interactive programmes. How can drama, art and dance combine? What are the skills needed to be a good dancer? What skills do we need to play team sports and games? How can we show enthusiasm, courage and collaboration through games? What skills will we need to play Hockey? Which are the best writing techniques to describe a historical setting and set a spooky scene? How do you use facts and opinions to discuss a topical issue? Who are the best inventors and how can we discuss this in writing? What writer skills are needed to write a traditional story? What exciting facts can I share in a historical recount writing? How can we use drama to establish a unique viewpoint? What calculation do we need to solve a problem? Can we work in a logical order to list all possibilities? How can we use a fractions rule to convert Euros (€) to pounds (£)? How do fractions link with percentages and decimals? What special mathematical terms can we use to describe properties of shape? What actions do we need to take when solving a multi-step problem? What measurements would inventors use and how can we convert and use metric and imperial units in our inventions? What famous stories/films do you know which are based on inventors? Research our famous inventors! How could you help at home? Use the tutorials on Mathletics to practice what we have been doing in class! Make sure you try the Problem Solving tasks on there! Make a list of percentages on food packaging – what do they mean?
