Deep Vein Thrombosis By Michael Kruebbe HR:6

The history of deep vein thrombosis: dvt The 1st recorded case of dvt was in 1271 when a Franciscan monk, guillaume de saint pathus reported symptoms similar of dvt. dvt occurs when a blood clot is formed in one of the veins of the arm or leg, but mostly happens in the leg.

People who are most likely to get dvt. People who are over 40 have a great chance of getting dvt. but people that have diseases such as crohns disease or ulcerative colitis have a equal chance of getting it. women that are pregnant can also get DVT

Symptoms of dvt Some symptoms that show that a person has dvt are swelling in the leg , feet, ankle, and groin. After the swelling there can be cramping near the calf muscle. Then they may feel warm touch to places where there's swelling. Then there is a high chance the skin will change colors varying from pale to reddish to bluish.

How can dvt harm the body The circulatory system can carry blood clots until the blood is completely covered a vein which can causes pain swelling and even death.

What causes dvt DVT is caused by blood clots that formed in deep veins. Blood clots are formed from staying still or not doing enough exercise.

Cures and treatments for dvt There are no cures but people who have DVT can take medication, or they take a treatment called compression stockings. Wearing Compression stockings can prevent swelling and might lower chance of developing blood clots.

How to prevent dvt If you want to prevent dvt you should exercise daily eat food with vitamin E such as avocados. You should also make sure your not spending too much time inside.

How can a persons daily life be affected from dvt. DVT can cause a person stay awake longer than a normal person should it can also cause people to be aware every now and then of bleeding.
