Our focus is on reflecting and improving. www.mrslewisclass.com Visit for pictures, class information and more. Friday Writing: Opinion Paragraph We will continue to use the steps of the engineering process to write an opinion paragraph on ways to improve our in class science models. From Teacher’s Desk the Parents, Did you know that there is success in failure? In our classroom this week, students are encouraged to take risks in building there models and projects. The uncertainty of the outcome is intentional. Rather than giving students specific, detailed directions, I want them to learn through discovery. After all, that’s how real designers approach a project: not with answers, but questions. Students are working through the uncertainty, recognizing ambiguity, and learning from failure. They are encouraged that the PROCESS of building and experimenting far outweighs the PRODUCT. Mark Your Calendar Looking Ahead: Science test: October 19, 2018
