E.O.C. Exam May 7-9 (Mon.-Wed.) at 7:30 a.m.

Format Computer-based 66 multiple-choice questions 160 minutes (2 hours and 40 minutes) About 2.5 minutes per question. NOTE: You usually take 40 question tests in ~45 minutes. If you have accommodations, then you will be given additional time and possibly an alternative setting.

How to Study Lecture Notes Study Guide (on course website) Notecards Skim through textbook Pay attention to main ideas, section headings, and section summaries. Pay special attention to graphics (tables, charts, photographs, pictures, etc.) Practice E.O.C. (answers provided)

Test Psychology/Strategies Don’t panic! Take a deep breath and try your best. Remember that the threshold for a passing grade is LOWER than you think. Don’t give up! Guess if you have to. Keep a record of questions that were more difficult or confusing and be sure to revisit those questions if you have the time. Answer these types of questions before you move on just in case you don’t have time or forget to revisit them. Read the questions and answer options very carefully. Often, you can figure out the correct answer just by the wording of the question or an answer.

Seriously Try to get a decent night of sleep before test day. Stop studying no later than 9:00 pm. Unwind for a while. Wake up a bit early and have a nutritious breakfast. Most importantly, … Remember that neither the quality of your character nor your potential as a scholar depends on this single standardized test performance.
