Project # 12 – Smart Walker REU student: Christopher Feltner Graduate mentors: Sharare Zethabian and Siavash Khodadadeh Faculty mentor(s): Dr. Turgut and Dr. Bölöni Week 5 (June 10 – June 16, 2018) Accomplishments: Started working with Point Cloud Library Figured out how to power the Kinect while it is connected to the walker Completed mid-term report Problems & Solutions: I’m having some trouble with certain parts of the library on my system If we want to run PCL on the Pi we may have to cross compile it Waiting for components to arrive Plans for next week: Continue building PCL solution Build a new power supply for the Kinect (when I receive components) NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2018
