1:2:3 (Haritaki, Vibhitaki, Amla) combination: - has less laxative effect than the equal amounts - ideal for pitta as it has more amla Triphala is classified as a tridoshic rasayana Hence effective in diabetes as it prevents dhatukshaya (wasting of tissues). It controls blood sugar levels without causing muscle wasting Equal amounts is good for external use- bath, face wash, head paste
