WNBA Stats (Women’s National Basketball Association) Angelica Sack

Project Overview The question that I did for my dataset was. If you are taller does that mean that you score more points?

Introduction Kaggle.com CSV file 32 columns consisting of Name, position, points, rebounds, etc. 143 rows consisting of WNBA stats of each individual player during the 2016-2017 season

Problems I just added that the height field was in centimeters and the weight field was in kilograms because on the website they didn’t show it. Also that an “R” in an experience field stands for “Redshirt” as if they got hurt and never played during that season. This didn’t impact my analysis because I never used the experience field column.

Discovery I used a VLOOKUP for the height field. I also used the COUNTIF and SUMIF functions. This is so I can compare it to the points to see if your height gives you a scoring advantage. Yes, this did answer my question.

Conclusion By looking at my dataset the answer would actually be that the shorter players averaged more points per season than the taller players.

Future Work I was also going to look at the height field vs. the rebound field to compare the difference in that but I didn’t have time.
