Activity 7 DISSEMINATION & PUBLIC AWARENESS

Objectives Activity 7 aims to promoting the use of NG as an alternative fuel, by both the energy and transport sectors and to Increase Public Awareness as to the benefits of the use of the NG from the Environmental, societal and economic viewpoint The activity targets : NG supply companies - Shipping operators- Port Authorities - Administration and Government representatives- Academic Institutions - The Local Community -General Public- Prospective Investors - Other CEF funded Projects Targets to be achieved through: Media Coverage – Dissemination Events – Social Media coverage – participation to Conferences/exhibitions – overall implementation of the Action Plan

1st CYnergy Dissemination Event Limassol 29 September 2017 In collaboration with Poseidon Med II - Thirty-one experts discussed how two major co-financed projects could be the stepping stones for turning Cyprus into an energy hub for the Eastern Mediterranean marine transportation with a sustainable, eco-friendly profile through the use of LNG Attended by more than 180 delegates from marine & energy sectors, public bodies, port authorities and international organisations

1st CYnergy Dissemination Event Limassol 29 September 2017 The conference was addressed by the Minister of Transport, Communications & Works The CYnergy Session was inaugurated by the Acting Director of the Energy Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Representatives of the CYnergy Consortium discussed the steps towards the transition of the internal market to the use of NG that will turn Cyprus into an energy hub of the South-East Med
