Our vision and conception Teachers Who? Students Parents Promoting a reading culture in school What? School librarian Others How?

Our Principles Reading is not just for the improvement of language proficiency, but forms an integral part of our everyday life for pleasure, practical and social purposes. Wide reading embraces varieties in formats and text-types. Students can read whenever they like and wherever they are.

Our Principles Students need to be motivated and taught to read. The inculcation of a reading culture among students is the joint effort of the school, home and the community. The provision of ample opportunities and diverse means for students to reflect on and share their reading experience with others is the best way to understand how well students read.

Our SDP:

4 Intended Outcomes Students will spend more time reading. Students will be exposed to diverse and appropriate reading materials. Students will acquire some basic skills in reading, listening, speaking, writing and drama. Parents and alumnae will help promote reading in school.
