HOW CREDITS WORK Each SEMESTER course = 0.5 credit Each YEARLONG course = 1.0 credit Each freshmen student will be in at least 7 of the 8 offered periods. Freshmen may take 8 courses each semester.

COLLEGE CREDIT OPTIONS Advanced Placement (AP) College credit determined by the college/university based on AP exam score Concurrent Enrollment High School Select: College classes available at BHS and other TSD high schools Campus Select: College classes available on the college campus Career Pathway Programs: Half-day programs for Juniors and Seniors ASCENT 12 college credits to be eligible

ALTERNATE COURSES We work diligently to give you your first choices. If your electives are not available we will move to your alternate choices. Again, please choose wisely because if you ask for it you will be required to keep it. If you do not select alternates, we will choose for you and you will not be able to change courses at a later date.

REGISTRATION TIMELINE Wednesday, Jan 30th– HS counselors to TMS to answer student questions regarding the registration process. Sunday, Feb 3rd-Families will have completed the 2 PART registration process at home. Monday, Feb 4th and Tuesday,Feb. 5th – HS counselors to Turner to pick up completed paper registration forms and lock in online requests. Students from other middle schools please contact your counselor to set up a meeting so we can answer your questions, turn in your forms and lock in your requests. If you ask for a course and get it…you will keep it. So choose wisely. Schedules will be available online two days before classes begin in August.
