Diet A chameleons diet is insects like crickets, mealworms, and waxworms.

Habitat Chameleons live in places like deserts and rainforests.

Heat Chameleon’s body temperatures are controlled by their environment.

Light Chameleons are more active during the day.

Changing Color Chameleons come in different colors such as turquoise. Chameleons change colors to show there mood. Darker colors mean the chameleon is angry. And when they have lighter colors it means they are trying to attract a mate. Chameleons also change colors to help their bodies adjust to different temperatures.

Fun Facts A chameleon’s lifespan is 5-7 years. In Greek the word chameleon is chamai “dwarfed” leon “lion”
