Intro to GIS Guidance document Arose from the Reporting sheet and Commission meetings First draft – still have gaps Section 3, As-is analysis – input from MS

Data content and structure Geographic information (shape files) - Flood scenarios (high/medium/low) Textural information (xml) - To be developed on the basis of the reporting sheet and the GIS guidance document

Next Steps (DRAFT- TO BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL) Review period (June-August) on current document: To be confirmed (addendum and correlation tavle with INSPIRE text) may be sent separately. Input missing items (symbology, metadata examples etc) from first draft Collate and respond to Member State comments and update the document accordingly Finalise schema Send out for second review phase at the end of August  2. Third document update period (August-October) Additional – presentation of guidance in mid September  

Next Step (2) 3. After finalisation of documents (October onwards): Start development of reporting tools (database etc) Initiate pilot exercise for linking Member State services as a distributed system
