Victoria Market is a huge flea market that covers a half city block in the northern part of Melbourne. After a short street car ride, the Russells spent a couple of hours wandering through the buildings and tents: there was food, animals, flowers, clothing, and Australian curios for sale. It was fun to relax, browse and see the different items.

Short, colorful didgeridoos (a musical instrument played by the Aborigines).

Decorated boomerangs of all sizes.

Brightly painted water sticks (stones inside make a sound like running water when the rod is tilted).

A whole squadron of painted boomerangs tempt buyers.

Leather bush hats of all sizes, shapes, and shades.

Just what you need a wild and colorful belt buckle.

Tasty kangaroo salami--plain or garlic (oh yummy).

Some special goodies to nibble on.

Nice pile of mushrooms for the evening meal.

The Polish Deli Smokehouse with lots of tasty meats for every need.
