A multinational communications corporation Headquartered in Keilaniemi, Espoo. 128.445 employees in 120 countries. Worlds largest manufacturer of mobile phones. Its global device market share is 37% in 2009.

A Research and development company aswell! The first research center was founded in 1986. Now it is present in 16 countries of which Finland, China, India, Kenya, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United states are the most important ones. 39,350 people employed in research and development which is 31% of the companies total workforce.

Boosts Finnish ecomomy By far the largest Finnish company. 1/3 of the market capitalization of the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Important employer. Several small companies have grown into bigger ones because of the partnership with Nokia. Increased Finnish GDP by 1.5% in 1999. In 2004 Nokia’s share of Finnish GDP was 3.5%
