What are “social problems”? “SOCIAL” refers to GROUPS of people – social problems relate to people living in bad CONDITIONS in Big Cities and the problems that IMMIGRANTS faced when they came to the USA.

Social Problems: 1. OVERCROWDED Big Cities Tenements  were CRAMPED, un-SAFE, lacking PLUMBUNG  leads to DISEASE poor SEWAGE systems, unsafe WATER
