Objective: Learn the different parts of the computer and how to use the computer mouse.

What are we going to do? Kindergarten Finish Movie Computer Part Video Computer Parts Song Learn about the desktop and the e icon Try Headphones on/learn about the mouse 1st Grade Learn what the mouse and review the parts of the computer Headphone model/ how do we wrap them up? Introduce website- Star, back arrow and x out

Today I will: use the computer by myself and go to sites, games and programs that I am asked to go to. I also know new technology words that will help me use the computer.

What are we going to do? Learn Technology Terms Computer Scavenger Hunt - Put your name on your paper. - Put an x in the box when you finish each step - Complete the hunt in order WHISPER 1 Computer Lab Rules: Only go to sites that you are told to go to. Follow the four internet safety rules

Technology Word Wall: Headphones: item that goes on your head to listen to sounds on the computer Power Button: what you push to turn on your computer. Password: a secret word, letters or numbers to get you into the computer screen: the picture you see on the computer Icon: the pictures on the screen that represents something. Toolbar: a line on the bottom of the screen that has icons on it. Address bar: a place where you type in the name of the site you want to go to. Back arrow: a button at the top of the screen near the address bar that allows you to go back to the screen you were at. Start Menu: the button on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen that helps you find a program you are looking for.
