TRENDs over time Outcomes over time are variable. There has been a decline in Maths and Writing KS2 Higher achievers have performed better except in 2017 where middle attainers performed well in Reading. The school has met the Progress standards but also fell within the Coasting Standard 2015 – Reading Writing and Maths combined was 64.7% 2016 – Writing progress average scaled score fell within the Coasting standard. 2017 – Progress scores Reading -2, Writing -5.8 , Maths -4.4 Pupil Premium gap narrows when fewer PP pupils are also SEN SEN with cognitive learning difficulties make slow progress. Attendance for Disadvantaged is at 91.4%

What has happened? Age related expectations were not high enough across the school. Assessment procedures were not analytical enough Subject leaders did not provide enough challenge in raising expectations in light of new Primary Curriculum and outcomes. A focus on supporting Pupil Premium mainly at KS2 More emphasis on writing and number in EYFS

To improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment so that outcomes for pupils, including disadvantaged pupils improve No inadequate teaching was seen during the inspection. Ensure staff have high expectations of what pupils can achieve, especially in mathematics and writing. Ensure teachers to use assessment information accurately to plan activities that appropriately challenge all pupils and monitor their progress regularly. Ensure teachers provide opportunities for pupils to practise their grammar, handwriting, punctuation and spelling skills in English and other subjects. Ensure Phonics teaching is consistently effective to ensure more pupils achieve the expected standard in the Year 1 phonics check.

You died for love of Christ and his Church, as a witness to bring others to the truth. Pray that we might follow the Lord more earnestly, with eyes fixed firmly on his Son, never putting off till tomorrow what can be done today. Obtain for us the grace to share your courage and conviction, to live lives transformed by love of Jesus, following His call wherever it may lead, sharing Him with all whom we meet. Amen
