Figure 1 Most recent baseline serum tryptase level reported by 164 respondents. Respondents were asked to leave the answer blank if the most recent baseline level was not known. Data for 4 reporting the tryptase level “above 200” and one “above 300” were entered as 201 or 301 ng/mL, respectively. Five people reported their tryptase level as “normal” and these are not included in the graph. Number ranges missing from the graph had no entries at those levels. Figure 2 Calcium and vitamin D supplement use by 382 respondents. *Of 212 (55.5%) respondents taking vitamin D, 120 (56.6%) had had those levels measured; an additional 24 (11.3%) not taking vitamin D had had their levels measured. Of all 120 (31.4%) with osteopenia/osteoporosis, 55 (45.8%) took “medication,” 84 (70.0%) took calcium plus vitamin D, 12 (10.0%) vitamin D only, 5 (4.2%) calcium only, and 19 (15.8%) neither supplement.
