OPTN/UNOS Transplant Administrators Committee Fall 2014

TAC OPTN Activities Provide feedback on educational/communication efforts Keep OPTN/UNOS Committees informed Contribute to cross-committee work groups As part of the TAC’s ongoing activity, we have a standing education workgroup that will : Help communicate OPTN educational resources to the transplant community Advise UNOS on educational resources and topics that patients, transplant centers and other transplant professionals would find useful Compile educational materials for the transplant administration community The TAC continues to provide feedback to OPTN/UNOS Committees about public comment proposals before they are released for public comment. TAC members also contribute to OPTN/UNOS cross-committee work groups, to provide insight into how changes might affect transplant center operations.

2014 UNOS Staffing Survey Release date: Jan/Feb 2015 Closes June 30, 2015 Benchmarking data only for programs that complete survey Find survey at https://portal.unos.org Survey access and questions: UNet℠ Help Desk - 1-800-978-4334 or UNethelpdesk@unos.org Every year we invite transplant centers to participate in a staffing survey. In return, we provide benchmarking data only to those programs that submit their completed form. The committee met in July and is currently discussing the 2014 updates. The survey will be released in January/February and programs have until June 30 to complete it.  The survey is on the UNet Transplant Administrators site. Contact the UNet Helpdesk at 1-800-978-4334 or unethelpdesk2@unos.org if you need access.

2015 UNOS RFI 2015 UNOS RFI will be released in January: https://portal.unos.org Contact payers for deadlines RFI access and questions: UNet℠ Help Desk - 1-800-978-4334 or UNethelpdesk2@unos.org UNOS will release its 2015 transplant center RFI [request for information] at the end of January.  Transplant administrators may complete the information until the 2016 RFI is released, but you should contact your center’s payers for any deadlines.   The Committee met in July and is currently discussing possible updates for the 2015 release.   Transplant administrators should work with the person who is responsible for completing your center’s RFI, since they may need some assistance with transplant terminology and information requirements. The RFI is available on the Unet transplant administrators’ website (https://portal.unos.org/).  Review your center’s data tables at srtr.org before completing the RFI. (Note: If you have questions SRTR data, please contact SRTR at srtr@srtr.org.) Contact the UNet Help Desk with questions or to obtain access.
