Topic 4: Domestic Church – Mission Topic 5: Eucharist – Relating Topic 6: Easter - Giving Topic   What Price Progress? In our topic this term we will be looking at Anglo-Saxons, and how life has changed over time. We will be looking at Forces in Science, and how technology and modern comforts have evolved over time. In History we will be focusing on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, and their struggle in the settlement of Britain. Reading   This year we are putting a large focus on reading, and promoting reading for pleasure. Please make sure that the children are reading their books at home, and any support you can offer them in listening to them read is greatly appreciated. If the children do any work at home related to anything they have read, we would love to see it! Homework Homework will be sent home each Monday for the children to work on over the course of the week. There will be times tables and a Maths worksheet each week, as well as one other piece, focusing on future learning, or something that proved difficult during lesson time. It will be due back on the Friday.  The children will also be expected to be reading at home every day. Get in Touch If you are a parent/carer of a pupil at school you can tell Ofsted your views about the school by completing Ofsted’s online survey, Parent View, at www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk. Parent View will ask for your opinion regarding the areas such as progress made by your child and the quality of the teaching.   Please remember to check out our school website: www.st-charles.hull.sch.uk and download our school app: http://cms.hullapp.co/app/stcharle for the latest information. @stcharleshullFS
