What Makes a Story Interesting? Essential Understandings/Learning Goals: Speaking and listening standard 4: Student will present claims and findings, emphasizing salient points in a focused, coherent manner with pertinent descriptions, facts, details and examples; use eye contact, adequate volume, and clear pronunciation. Speaking and listening standard 6: Student will adapt speech to the task of public speaking, demonstrating command of the language that expresses ideas precisely and concisely.
