Your Interest Profile Here we have the Interest Profile. (click) 44 broad career areas are displayed in descending order of interest, as percentages. The top 6 to 8 careers are selected for further investigation. These are in the shaded area. pupil’s initial career choices are indicated by the encircled i. High Overall Matches are indicated by the encircled m. (click – for zoom) Here is a close-up overview of the top selection of careers. (click – for highlight) First, we have a list of the 6-8 career areas. Next are the Interest Levels. These indicate the pupil’s relative strengths of interest in the careers listed. Overall Match, a measure of the pupil’s all round suitability for each career area. And lastly a list of subjects which may be frequently required or preferred for entry to universities or colleges.

There are spaces where you can make notes on your research and in the Portfolio section record skills developed as well as achievements and experience gained.

Clinical Psychologist When looking at details of a particular job you have a Tab, which gives the option to make notes – perhaps some pointers as to why you like it.

Portfolio - Skills The Portfolio Section can be accessed by clicking on Portfolio found under the myCareersRoom heading (see the first slide in this section on myCareersRoom) This section helps to keep a record of the skills you have developed and gives you a reminder of useful skills to develop – from a drop down menu, You can record the ones you have gained (with examples). There are also tabs to access space for recording: Work experience, Interests, Hobbies and Achievements as well as a Diary. This information should prove extremely useful when you have to compile a CV or write a Personal Statement
