SLAC FY09 Mid Year Feedback Goal 4 Leadership team commended for its extraordinary commitment & dedication to mission success & long-term sustainability of Laboratory. Honesty and trust earned by SLAC and SU very high Strong commitment and backing by University very clear Continuing development of the partnership between SLAC, SU, and DOE noted and considered a foundational element driving exciting future Goals 5-8 Mission support systems (Goals 5-8) are meeting expectations and enabling Laboratory to successfully execute its science mission. Significant improvements and exceptional performance in safety, project management, and procurement compared to past performance.

SLAC FY09 Mid Year Focus Areas Fill key leadership vacancies in mission support areas. Safety performance needs to become less dependent on oversight. Improve incident reporting (ORPS) program. Fully implement positive recognition programs. Become less dependent on expert-based systems. Resolve long-standing issues with overhead rates. Improve project management on small (<$10M) construction projects. Improve management of IT/cyber security infrastructure. Improve connection/outreach to key stakeholders.
