Inuit Diet vs. Zone Diet

The Zone Diet The Zone Diet was originally created as a cure to treat cardio-vascular disease and diabetes. But with its successful start, it also became known for everlasting weight loss and improved long life.

The Zone Diet Dieting in the Zone Diet means following recipes and eating meals with a low- carbohydrate diet plan, where proteins do not dominate the carbohydrates. This allows the dieters to get more energy from carbohydrates rather from proteins or fats.

The Zone Diet The Zone Diet centers on a balanced 40:30:30 ratio of calories contained daily from carbohydrates, proteins and fats respectively. This allows the dieters to get to eat foods which control their bodys insulin production. This means no meal or snack is forbidden in the Zone Diet and yet you can lose weight or fat while Zone dieting. 40:30:30

The Zone Diet The Zone Diet insists dieters to keep a count of their calorie consumption, where they are eating a meal not more than 500 calories and a snack not more than 100 calories. This is ideal for dieters dieting in the Zone diet.

The Zone Diet But Weight loss is not the only reason to be Zone Dieting. There are numerous benefits linked to Zone dieting, for an example improved health, improved energy and improved mental clarity. The Zone Diet is also perfect for someone with type II diabetes. The Zone diet insists on foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts, leafy green vegetables, sufficient protein consumption and eight glasses of water each day. The Zone diet prefers mono-unsaturated fats for saturated fats, says a big N-O to both processed foods and meals that contain too much salt.

The Inuit Diet The Inuit Diet is based on foods that can be hunted, fished for, or gathered locally in Alaska and various Canadian areas. This is the typical diet of people that live in these areas. Some of the meats in this diet are walrus, seal, beluga whale, polar bear, and different types of fish, berries and fireweed.

The Inuit Diet There aren't many plants included in this diet because not much grows in the subzero climates where this diet is most common. The Inuit Diet has become much more diverse over the years, because of the ability to buy so many things that were not previously available. The main purpose of the Inuit Diet is to keep the body strong, warm and healthy in the extremely cold climates.

The Inuit Diet Most food consumed on the Inuit Diet is eaten raw, frozen, boiled or with very little added ingredients or spices. The Inuit Diet consists of two meals per day, and snacks about every hour. Eating the meat and blood of the animal right after the kill helps the hunter keep their own bloods flowing and their body warm. Hunters also believed that eating food in the location where it was caught was the best way to consume their food. When a seal is hunted, the hunters are allowed to eat first because they need to be fed and warmed by the meat and blood.

The Inuit Diet When they enjoy a meal at home, large amounts of meat, blubber, and other animal parts, are served on plastic or cardboard on the floor. Anyone is able to come and carve off a piece of meat as they need it. The Inuit people only eat when they are hungry, so no one has to eat at a certain time. Food is often shared between those who practice the Inuit diet.

So What Would You Choose? Zone OR Inuit ?
