Answer Federalist believe in sharing power Centralist believe the national government should hold all power.

Colonization Plan Every man received 640 acres Every woman received 320 acres Every child received 160 acres Each slave would add another 80 acres Had to pay 12.5 cents per acre Each person had to become a Mexican citizen, convert to Catholicism, and have good moral character

Colonization Several people wanted to move to Texas Cheap land prices, good farm land Most colonists set up small farms and ranches After Mexico won its independence, SFA had to be granted re-approval to settle in Texas Traveled to Mexico City 1000 miles away, took over a year
