Presentation transcript:

Welcome Neil MacGowan Head Of Operations Communication and support between SQA and school coordinators is really important. I want to acknowledge it’s been a year of significant change for us all, change that we and you have had to absorb while carrying on with our business as usual activities, change that affects assessment and quality assurance and that reflects back to redesigned operational practice and processes. We understand that communication, support and effective partnership between us is vitally important particularly at this time.

I do want to say on behalf of all your colleagues at SQA, thank you for your partnership and support. Your hard work, time and effort are really appreciated.

We share a common purpose We share a common purpose. We want to see the young people of Scotland succeed and be rewarded for their efforts. We need to continue to work together to make that happen. Feedback from last year’s event was that you preferred the practical, interactive style of meeting colleagues in workshop sessions. So we have continued with that approach this year. It is a format that lets you focus on what is important to you and to hear latest updates and give us your views. I’m delighted colleagues from SEEMiS and Insight have been able join us; again underlying the partnership and communication to support our young learners.
