Observing Osmosis Guiding Question: What effect, if any, does soaking Gummy Bear candies in water have on the size of the candy? Claim: If I _______________________________, then __________________________will happen based on the knowledge you already have and what you know about gummy bears.

Tuesday October 2, 2018 Procedures Enter the classroom, quietly. Be responsible for myself. Get my journal. Sit in my assigned seat. Quietly, wait for instructions.

To Do: 1) Add vocabulary to ISN 2) Complete Exit Ticket 3) Work on Review. Answers will be provided at end of class. Diffusion is defined as the movement of molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.   The diffusion of water molecules through a selectively permeable membrane is known as osmosis. Selectively permeable means that some molecules can move through the membrane while others cannot. Movement through membranes is called transport.

Wednesday October 3, 2018 Procedures I will enter the classroom, quietly. I will be responsible for myself. I will get my journal. I will sit in my assigned seat. I will quietly, wait for instructions. Wednesday October 3, 2018
