The be inspired project I applied for the scheme as I needed help to set up my creative business. I had an idea but I needed guidance from people who advocate new business start ups. The be inspired program was right there just after I graduated from my Masters at Staffs University. I also heard stories about successful local businesses led by beinspired programme. The beinspired helped me to start up, understand the most important elements of running the business. I have received a lot of valuable advice that I needed along the way. During a year scheme I feel more grown, I make better decisions as I started to think more strategically and my confidence has raised. Running a business is not for everyone, however having the right support and a good mentor is crucial to fulfill your dreams. As a micro business owner I understand the advantage of being small but independent and staying out from the crowd. The scheme offers financial help which is very handy and feels just right for the beginning. I have chosen to use my grants to buy my first ever ceramic kiln which I am very excited about. I definitely recommend the scheme for everyone who wants to work for themselves and have a clever idea for a new start up. Choosing the right mentor and visiting monthly business clubs and well invested time and money are integral parts of success. Set your big goals and go for it ! The next step is to set up my lovely artist studio at Spode Works and focus on the online sale and advertising to bring steady income.
