Western Mountain Regions By Daniel S, Kimberly, Hayden, Andrew How did the environment effect societies and cultures in West Coast BC?

Landforms How it effected the society: Rivers Lakes Cut deep valleys Mountain ranges  Coasts  z Landforms How it effected the society: Citizens flourish because of rivers carrying out plentiful amounts of food Mountains= hard to farm on

Climate around the Mountains Interior valleys  Climate                     Along Pacific Coast Drier than the coast BECAUSE mountains prevent moist air from blowing inland.  Summer= very warm Winter= cold, lots and lots of snow  Winter= rainy, temperatures above freezing  Summer= warm, less rain, helped by mild wet climate  How it effected them:

Resources How it effected them: Copper Zinc Coal Lead Natural resources  Wood How it effected them: Created art Used to make canoes, clothing, weapons and tools   DEPENEDED ON WOOD

Ranking People got higher ranking by all the good resources they had around them. Got higher ranking by how much the give. The resources around them helped them. Trees, wood, copper ect. The more they give the higher rank.
