Background: Stroke is a major public health problem and the trend is increasing continuously Recurrent stroke and TIA is a leading cause of serious long-term disability. Previous studies have been carried out in developed regions

Background: A few data of prevalence of recurrent stroke and TIA in developing areas has been reported. In Thailand a study of recurrent stroke and TIA were explored overall among Hypertension and Hypertension with T2DM has not been shown.

Objectives: To investigate the prevalence of recurrent stroke and TIA and the related factors among Hypertension and Hypertension with type 2 Diabetes in Thailand. .

Methods: This study is a part of DMHT database in Thailand, 2010-2012 as Cross-sectional study. Data collection was done by health officer. Of 104,235 cases multiple logistic regressions were used for data analysis.

Prevalence of recurrent stroke and TIA

Results

DISCUSSIONS: In this study have found the prevalence of recurrent stroke and TIA among Hypertension and Hypertension with type 2 Diabetes patients was 1.8% in all 3,805 eligible participants, But that may be underestimated Because patients have recurrent stroke died before collected data

DISCUSSIONS: A limitation of this study is that some variables were not explored such as duration before occurred recurrence, lifestyle and Self-care behaviors

Conclusions: In this study have found the prevalence of recurrent stroke and TIA among Hypertension and Hypertension with type 2 Diabetes patients was 1.8% in all 3,805 eligible participants

Conclusions:
